Smarter, Faster, Clearer: feature Round-Up

Update on June 18, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

We have recently rolled out a suite of enhancements across Membrain that are all about one thing: making your daily experience smoother, sharper, and more intuitive.

From surfacing key settings to boosting coaching workflows, here’s a look at the latest updates that will help your team execute better than ever.

Visual Enrollment Clarity in Automations

Automations now have a more visual and helpful first element in place, a clickable node labeled “Automatic Enrollment Enabled”, giving instant visibility and access to enrollment settings. No more guesswork or menu-diving, just clear control at a glance.

Navigate Replays with Your Keyboard

Reviewing your Active Pipeline or Account Growth Grid? Now you can speed through it with keyboard shortcuts. Left/right arrows to move across views and Spacebar to play/pause animations. Faster navigation means better coaching and quicker insights, especially during pipeline reviews.

Historical Users Now Available in Elevate

Need to review coaching data from a former team member? You can now select “Historical Users” in the Elevate overview page, bringing it in line with other Membrain views. It’s a small change that unlocks big insights for long-term coaching and performance analysis for the learning organization.

Floating Text Toolbar Expanded

Editing just got easier everywhere. We’ve expanded the floating toolbar to more places across Membrain: emails, coaching plans, templates, and process descriptions. This puts formatting tools right where you need them, cutting clicks and keeping you focused.

Meeting Notes in Membrain Go

For salespeople on the move, you can now add, view, and edit meeting notes directly from Appointments in Membrain Go. Notes stay tied to the appointment and accessible across devices, making it easier than ever to stay on top of your game, even when you're not at your desk.

Each of these features is designed to reduce friction, reveal new insights, and support your sales excellence journey. Membrain is here to help you sell how you want to sell.

Never Miss a Beat: Automatic Meeting Reminders Are Here

Update on June 17, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

No-shows and last-minute meeting cancellations waste time and can totally derail a deal.

Now, Membrain helps you stay one step ahead with automatic meeting reminders.

You can now configure email reminders to be sent before scheduled appointments, tailored to your workflow and meeting type. Here's how it works:

  • Set up reminders in the Calendar tab under My Settings
  • Choose timing from on how long before the meeting you want it to be sent
  • Apply reminders to specific Activity Types or keep it broader for all your meetings.

Membrain will do the rest, automatically notifying your meeting guests so they show up prepared and on time.

Why It Matters

A missed meeting isn't just a hiccup. It breaks momentum, delays deals, and drains energy from your pipeline. These reminders ensure that your prospects are informed, engaged, and more likely to follow through.

This is a key improvement to supports high-impact selling by reducing friction and increasing consistency in this key detail of the sales process. Reliability builds trust and trust wins deals.

Smarter Forms with Embedded Score cards

Update on June 16, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

Forms just got a whole lot more powerful. You can now embed Score cards directly into Membrain Forms, giving you structured, number-based output without sacrificing ease of use or clarity for the person filling out the form.

Simply adding a Score card as one of the fields to the form will add dropdowns for all the Score card questions. Boom! It's that quick and easy.

Score card questions will now display as individual single-select options inside your forms. These questions are grouped by category, with each category appearing as a header to keep your form clean and well-organized.

Each response still generates a numerical score in the background. That means you get the simplicity of single-select questions with the analytical power of a number field, but without the limitations of unstructured numerical inputs.

So how does this help?

Before, single-selects were great for structure but couldn't produce numerical metrics. Number fields gave you metrics but lacked boundaries, making consistency hard to enforce and wreaking havoc on your reports and handovers.

With this update, revenue teams can:

  • Consistently score and assess prospects during form-based engagements
  • Create structured evaluation forms for meetings, demos, capture quantitative feedback or NPS collection
  • Use the resulting data to drive coachingimprove forecasting, and optimize execution. All the good stuff!

It’s a cleaner, smarter way to gather insights that actually inform decisions.

This is just one more way Membrain is making it easy to execute your process, coach to win, and build a high-performing sales team powered by data that makes sense.

Email Tracking - Now in Automations & Process Events

Update on June 15, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

New to Membrain this week is the ability to create Email Activities from both Automations and Process Events.

You can optionally also enable read & click tracking to get deeper engagement insights and you have direct access to full email content from the activity streams and story streams in Membrain. Just as you would with a normal email send manually.

In complex B2B sales, missing the “who-sent-what-when” can mean the difference between a smooth customer experience and a fumbled follow-up that causes friction and disrupts a deal. No more wondering if that automated email actually got sent or got read, it'll be clearly visible and the engagement insights will come in through the Beacon just as a normal email.

One Feature, Two Use Cases

You can now enable this in both:
  • Automations: When used in ongoing sequences that are “always ready”, or
  • Process Events: Classic triggered events based on specific sales actions

This ensures consistent tracking and visibility whether you’re running evergreen automated playbooks or workflows that react to specific changes as they happen.

What’s New?

  • New toggle in Send Email steps (both internal & external): Turn on Email Activity creation
  • Activity Type selector: Choose how the Email Activity is categorized
  • Optional read tracking: Know if/when recipients engage
  • Change log links: Quickly view full email content and tracking data

Everything is designed to be visible, accessible, and aligned with your team’s needs.

Elevate: Create New "Flow Projects" from Coaching Plans

Update on May 30, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

Coaching is one of the highest-leverage activities in sales leadership. And now, it just got a little easier to set your team up for success.

We’ve added an enhancement to Coaching Plans in Elevate: the ability to create and name a new Flow project directly during the setup process. Now, you can easily and smoothly create and name a new project on the fly while building your Coaching Plan.

Why It Matters

This seemingly small but impactful change improves usability, saves time, and reduces friction—ensuring coaching plans translate into actionable, personalized guidance. But the impact of that? Definitely not small. When it comes to driving behavior change, how you implement structure matters as much as having the right strategy in place.

A Quick Peek at What’s Coming

This update is part of our early access rollout of Flow Projects—a flexible way to organize and manage all the projects and workflows that support and run alongside your sales teams. These can augment collaboration between marketing, operations, backoffice, recruitment and more. While still in limited early access, you can reach out to your Membrain contact to learn more. We'll be sharing more details broadly soon.

Small Tweaks, Big Wins: May Product Enhancements You’ll Love

Update on May 28, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

Not all product updates need fireworks to make a real impact. Sometimes, it’s the quiet improvements.

The ones that save you clicks, clarifies your workflows or that just feel right. Those can often be the ones that deliver the most value.

This month, we’re rolling out several upgrades that make Membrain more intuitive, flexible, and efficient for sales professionals. Here's what’s new:

View Settings Dialog: Customize Your Workspace

You can now more easily tailor how you view your data across Prospects, Sales Projects, Account Growth, Tickets, and Flows. The new “View Settings” dialog lets you:

  • Choose view modes (List, Kanban, Growth Grid, Timeline)
  • Pick which fields to display (where applicable)
  • Control sort and group options (including actually sorting the grouping!)

But perhaps the biggest of these is the ability to toggle Automatic Priority Sorting and "snoozing" prospects and similar. It's now easier than ever to see what matters most to you.

Access Full Field Histories—Rich Text & Plain Text

We’ve expanded version history so you can retrieve full HTML or plain text field content from the past 365 days. Whether you’re reviewing a Coaching Plan or revisiting a deal note, your data is preserved and accessible from the History button. No more second-guessing or retyping lost information. Clear, confident retrieval when you need it.

New Floating Toolbar for Faster Text-Editing

Formatting text in Membrain just got a lot easier. A new floating toolbar appears when you make selections in custom rich-text fields, letting you:

  • Bold, italicize, underline
  • Change text color and alignment
  • Format consistently across Coaching efforts, dashboards, and more

This helpful little toolbar will gradually roll out in various contexts in Membrain over the next few releases.

First & Last Name Fields in Forms

You now have the option to split the “Name” field into separate First and Last Name fields on your forms. Toggle this option in Form Field Settings for more accurate and consistent data entry. More flexibility, cleaner data, and fewer awkward entries.

System Setup Gets Smarter with “Recent” Section

The System Setup menu now includes a “Recent” section that surfaces the pages you’ve accessed most recently. Less clicking around. More getting things done. Especially helpful for power users and sales ops pros.

These enhancements may not be flashy, but they’re designed to make your daily workflow smoother, faster, and just plain better. As always, we hope they feel helpful, and would love your feedback on what else we can improve to you give the best possible tool to help drive B2B sales growth.

Update on May 26, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

Duplicate contacts are a real nuisance. They clutter your CRM, skewing your data, and slowing down your team. Finding the right contact, with the right contact details can be a pain.

The new Contact Duplicate Clean-Up Tool is a great help in this! Similar to the recently released tool that did the same on the Company level it offers new ways to identify, manage, and merge duplicate contacts inside Membrain.

Accessed from the Contact list’s "..." menu, the new “Find Potential Duplicates” can be found for any Admin in Membrain, and you can find duplicates based on:

  • External Identifiers

Take Control of Time: Schedule Imports & Reports Multiple Times Per Day

Update on May 26, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

For sales teams operating in high-stakes B2B environments, timing is everything.

That’s why we’ve supercharged Membrain’s Automated Imports & Reports capabilities, allowing for hourly updates that make it easier than ever to stay aligned, proactive, and responsive. And the best part? You don’t need to be a developer to do it.

So What's New?

We’ve introduced a new “Hourly” schedule type for both imports and reports.

Now, users can:

  • Schedule multiple runs per day with pinpoint precision.
  • Select specific days of the week for execution.
  • Define custom “From Time” and “To Time” windows, ensuring reports and data syncs occur only when they’re most relevant.

The existing “Weekly” schedule type has been renamed to “Daily” in the UI to better reflect its functionality, without disrupting any of your existing workflows.

Product Update Schedule Multiple Imports and Reports 2

Why It Matters

Let’s be honest, most traditional CRM systems are built to store information, not to drive sales effectiveness.

Sales teams today need systems that adapt to their rhythm, not the other way around. With this update, Membrain puts more control in your hands, so data and reports arrive exactly when you need them—no sooner, no later.

More frequent reporting means: More powerful analytics, faster course corrections and better alignment across departments. Ultimately it means smarter, faster decision-making.

This update helps arm your sales processes with actionable, dynamic, and beautifully effective insights, giving your team the clarity and confidence to win.

Enhanced Document Management with Custom Fields and some other extra updates

Update on May 6, 2025 by Henrik Öquist

In B2B sales, documentating our efforts is naturally very important. Done right, it gives clarity and improves collaboration, both internally and with our partners, customers and other external collaborators.

Managing this documentation should be something that should support your strategy, which is why we’re introducing powerful Custom Fields support for Documents in Membrain.

What’s New?

  • You can now use Document Custom Fields, similar to custom fields in other parts of Membrain.
  • We’ve also redesigned the Document Categories UI, making it easy to select and apply relevant Custom Fields, view and click-to-edit fields directly from the Document Preview.

Why It Matters

Complex B2B sales require clarity, consistency, and speed. This update helps sales professionals:
  • Find what they need—faster
  • Maintain data integrity across projects
  • Unlock deeper insights from documention in your sales efforts
By streamlining document management, we enable salespeople to collaborate more effectively, reduce communication issues, improve project clarity and stay focused on advancing deals.
This update aligns with our mission to make strategy execution easy and to optimize every part of the sales process. Custom Fields in documents might sound like a small tweak—but it’s a big leap toward smarter workflows and better outcomes.

Additional Updates

Native Meeting Notes: Keep Conversations Where They Belong

We’ve introduced a dedicated “Meeting Notes” field inside the Activities section—giving every sales rep a native, structured space to capture key insights right within Membrain. Notes are now visible to the whole team. This small but powerful addition streamlines collaboration, improves follow-up, and keeps critical conversations where they belong—within your process. By adding your own meeting notes, or entering Zoom, Teams or Fathom summaries in this field you can supercharge the clarity of your sales efforts.

Quick LinkedIn Search: Less Clicking, More Connecting

We’ve added a “Search LinkedIn” link directly inside the LinkedIn field edit dialog. You can now instantly launch a LinkedIn search for a contact and their company. It’s a simple shortcut that saves time, speeds up contact enrichment, and helps sales teams connect faster with the right people.

Smarter Activity & Process Progress Grouping in Dashboard Graphs & List Views

We’ve expanded Dashboard graphs and list views with new grouping options for “Activity” and “Last Process Progress Date” across all key categories (prospects, sales projects, account growth projects, etc). These additions provide deeper visibility into sales motion—making it easier to spot engagement trends, coach more effectively, and act on timely insights to optimize execution.

Easier Access to Secondary Emails in the Composer

We’ve upgraded the Email Composer to list all secondary email addresses as individual, selectable rows. Now reps can quickly find and choose the right contact email —saving time, reducing errors, and keeping communication flowing smoothly.
