The best answers come from the details: the proposal you sent, the requirements the customer shared, the exact products and pricing on the table.
With this release, Membrain's AI Assistant and our MCP Connector gain access to two new kinds of detail: the documents stored in your projects and the product rows on your Sales Projects. Ask from inside Membrain, or from your preferred AI tool such as Claude or ChatGPT, and the answer can draw on both.
Documents, in context
Projects collect important material over time, such as proposals, RFPs, contracts, meeting decks and technical specs. Your AI can now list the documents in a project and then read the contents of the ones that matter for your question.
So when you ask about a Sales Project, the answer can draw on what's actually written in those files. It uses them alongside the activities, stakeholders and process data your AI already works with. That gives you more detailed, more accurate answers, grounded in your own project material.
Every product row, at a glance
Your AI can now also read the product rows on a Sales Project.
For each row, it sees:
- Name, Product and Description
- Quantity and total Revenue
- Unit Revenue, Unit Cost and Unit Discount
- Recurring Details, such as "every 3 months for 12 months"
This means your AI can answer questions about what's being sold, margins, discounts and recurring revenue directly from the Sales Project. Access is read-only, so your product information is safe and stays exactly as your team set them up.
A quick example
You have a pricing discussion tomorrow with a customer who has been reviewing your proposal. You open the Sales Project and ask the AI Assistant to help you get you ready for the call.
It lists the documents attached to the project and reads the proposal PDF and the customer's requirements document. Then it checks the product rows: three equipment lines, a services package, and a support agreement billed every 3 months for 12 months.
A minute later you have a summary of what was proposed. It shows where the proposal and the requirements don't quite line up, and which line items already carry the biggest discount. You walk into the call knowing where you have room to move and where you don't.
