No. Insight Engine is a separate platform upgrade and is not included in standard Membrain plans.
It must be purchased and enabled for the customer account. Organizations can control user access, AI functionality, and external data usage through permissions and Insight Engine settings.
This ensures full governance and transparency over AI use.

How do Insight Engine credits work and what actions use credits?

Insight Engine uses a monthly credit system to power AI actions and data enrichment.
Credits are consumed when users perform AI-powered tasks (such as AI Compose, AI Summary, AI Rewrite, Ask AI, or Auto Fill) or when enriching data like adding companies, contacts, emails, or phone numbers.

Smaller AI actions typically cost 1–3 credits, while advanced enrichment actions (like direct dial phone numbers) cost more.

Credits reset monthly based on the selected package, and unused credits do not roll over.

How does Insight Engine protect customer data and ensure AI security?

Insight Engine follows the same security and compliance standards as the Membrain platform, including SOC 2 compliance.

AI functionality is strictly opt-in. When enabled, only the data necessary to complete a specific AI task is securely transmitted to the configured AI provider. Access to Insight Engine is controlled through permissions and settings, allowing organizations to manage who can use AI features and external data enrichment.

Customers retain full control over how data is used, transmitted, and governed.
