Before Christmas Dawns, I Want to Say This

    New Call-to-action

I’m writing this on the day before Christmas Eve, knowing that this post will go out tomorrow while most of you are preparing to greet family, bake pies, and prepare holiday magic for loved ones. I thought about what I could possibly say that would be worth reading during a time when most people are focused on family and togetherness.

As a company dedicated to elevating the human aspect of business and sales, I realized that the only thing I can say on a day like today that really matters is: Thank you.

Thank you for being on this journey with us this year. Whether simply through reading this blog, or because you are a customer or an integral part of the Membrain team, I want you to know that I recognize your contributions and I’m grateful.

In particular, I want to call out a few specific people and teams.

Everyone On The Membrain Product Team

This year, the Membrain product team once again outdid itself, rolling out fixes, enhancements, and one of our most significant evolutions yet: Flows. Flows evolved our signature visual workflows beyond the original sales context, and made them customizable and accessible for any work team to help improve productivity and cohesion.

The team was also responsible for rolling out our new license and pricing model that enables customers to configure our platform to meet their needs, and to pay for only what they use. Every single one of our developers and product team members, with Anders at the helm, has been an integral part of making this happen this year. You constantly impress and awe me, and I am grateful to all of you. I’m very proud to have you on the team, and very proud to put the product you create into the hands of customers

    The Entire Marketing Team

Under the stable and strategic leadership of Johanna, Head of Marketing, our marketing team really pulled out the stops and created beautiful, compelling cohesion across our marketing channels. They focused this year on understanding how different partners and industries use Membrain, and then communicating best practices and use cases to the wider public. Which, in turn, helps the companies we can help best, to find us. I am so grateful for all your hard work.

I’d be remiss for not also shouting out Johanna for diving into the data to find out what you love and respond to in my blog. If you notice improved structure and stronger take-aways from my blogs lately… that’s because of Johanna. Thank you.

The Sales and Customer Success Teams

As a company committed to elevating the sales profession, our sales teams carry a heavier load than others might. They are responsible not only for connecting customers with the ways we can help them best, but also for working as a living example of how our mission and product elevate the profession.

Sales, business, and life are a collective act. We don't make it alone.

I am so proud of every single member of this team, and grateful to them and to Paul, who has been instrumental in the vision and direction of the team. I also want to thank Paul for the podcast he created and maintains that focuses on elevating the profession as a whole.

Our Head of Operations & People Growth

Nothing at Membrain would happen without our Head of Operations and People Growth, Nina. Nina fully embodies our value of “full of heart.” She keeps everything running smoothly, while ensuring that every single employee feels heard, valued, and aligned.

She was instrumental this year in helping us transition our leadership team, stepping into her role as Head of Operations, and putting Henrik at the helm as CEO, while I remain as founder, visionary, and public face of the organization. Nina’s deep understanding of each of our strengths and contributions made it possible for us to configure ourselves in the way that serves the organization and our customers best. Thank you, Nina.

    Our CEO, Henrik

Almost last, and definitely not least, I have to shout out Henrik specifically. You may have noticed that I didn’t call him my Co-CEO. Henrik has taken on the full mantle of leadership as the company’s sole CEO, while I have stepped more fully into my role as the company’s visionary and main owner.

Henrik has been, in practice, running the company for the past years, in addition to heading up our incredible development team. He has been with me on this journey since the early days, and Membrain would not be the same without him.

His passionate leadership and dedication to our mission and vision is unparalleled, and serves as the heartbeat of the company. We wouldn’t be who we are without you, Henrik. Thank you.

    Our Customers and Partners

Speaking of people we would not exist without, that’s our customers and our partners! You keep us on our toes, give us the feedback we need to improve, and provide us with valuable insights and ideas to continue making Membrain a platform for the future. And, of course, your support of our product keeps our doors open and our teams constantly improving the way we support you.

You, The People Who Read and Interact With My Blog

I have been putting out this blog every week for more than a decade now, as part of my mission to elevate the sales profession. Your comments, feedback, and engagement are what keep me going. Your questions, criticisms, and ideas give me fuel for future posts. Thank you for being here.

    Blessings for All

As we move into the thick of the holiday season, I wish everyone joy, peace, and connection. If I’ve learned anything this year, it’s that sales, business, and life are a collective act. None of us makes it alone. Thank you for being among the humans who enrich my life.
Merry Christmas, and Happy Holidays from me, to you and yours.
