New Graph Types: Pie, Bubble and Tree Map

Update on June 7, 2023 by Brenda McDonald

We're excited to announce 3 new graph types for Dashboards and Account Growth, giving you even more visual insights into your data.

While it's important to capture data in a structured way, viewing this data as information alone won't provide you or your team with much value or understanding. But when that data is transformed into graphs in Membrain, you can gain more understanding, knowledge, and even a new perspective that helps you drive decision-making and improve outcomes.

Let's take a look at these latest graphs options, and some ways they can be used:

Pie Charts

Pie Charts offer a great way to simplify complex data in a visually digestible format. A perfect option for showing proportions such as industry, market share or highlighting key contributors. A nice touch here is the clarity of Value AND % at a glance.

Treemaps

Treemaps provide a clear representation of proportions within a hierarchical structure. In this example, the size of each rectangle corresponds to the relative magnitude of Sales won in each Team AND by whom. Larger rectangles indicate higher sales volume, while smaller rectangles represent lower sales.

Bubble Charts (Preview Mode)Age vs Customer Fit

Bubble charts are a great way to identify patterns, clusters, and trends in your Sales data. The use of bubbles with varying sizes and positions allows for quick and easy interpretation of the information. Here, we see the Value of each Account, in relation to the length of time they have been a customer (height), with an increasing Customer Fit Score as the 3rd metric(width).

Where can you find these awesome new graphs?

These graphs are available now for all customers using Dashboards from our Sales Analytics+ add-on and our Account Growth Module.

If you'd like to learn more about how to get your hands on these powerful new graphs, or would like some guidance on how to get your desired results, just start a chat in Membrain, or write to us at support@membrain.com and we'll be happy to help!

Give Fine Grained Control to Your Content With Per Item Access in The Content Hub

Update on April 17, 2023 by Brenda McDonald

For those of you who are not yet familiar with Membrains Content Hub, it is a central location for all sales-related content, like case studies, marketing videos, templates, call scripts, white papers, and much more. What makes The Content Hub so powerful is that it suggests collateral intelligently and serves it up exactly when your salespeople can use it most effectively, based on where they are in the sales process.

This latest update takes access to the next level by allowing granular control of individual content items within The Content Hub. With per-item permissions, you can decide who has edit and view access to what, giving you more control and ensuring only relevant content is served up to your team.

This level of control is extremely useful in a variety of situations where you want to restrict or allow access to certain content, for example:

  • manage content in different languages, only showing relevant pieces to individuals or whole teams
  • restrict access to sensitive or confidential content
  • show specific product line content to individuals or whole teams
  • control who can edit or manage certain content

Get started managing access to your content today, and reach out to us at support@membrain.com and we'll be here to help!

Create Product Goals for Your Sales Team and Track Their Progress and Attainment

Update on March 27, 2023 by Brenda McDonald

You asked, and we've delivered. Goals for products are here, and we think you're gonna love them!

One of our most requested features at Membrain has been Product Goals, and it's no surprise. The ability to track how sales of a particular product are performing against your business goals is essential for measuring success.

This brand-new feature allows you to create goals for single or multiple products, and track how the sales team is performing against these goals on an individual, team-based or company-wide level. Armed with that information, you can build powerful Dashboard Graphs to track and forecast performance, giving you the insights you need to coach your team or adjust your sales strategy accordingly, to ensure that you are meeting your individual product's sales targets.

View prebuilt Performance Graphs to get the big picture - company wide - on how sales are tracking on a particular product or service.

Build customized graphs to measure goal attainment and performance on an individual basis, across the team.

But wait! It's not just the fixed or recurring revenue that you can set goals for. The Profit generated from this revenue is also possible to calculate and measure, giving you more insights into profit margins for your business. And furthermore, Quantities sold per month/quarter/year can even be used as a measurable goal, so you can be flexible in how you set targets for your team.

Get started

We hope you're excited to give these new goal options a shot. Reach out to us at support@membrain.com and we'll be happy to offer best-practice advice on how to get the most out of this powerful new feature.

Working with documents just got a whole lot easier

Update on March 10, 2023 by Brenda McDonald

Managing relevant documents is an important aspect of any project, as it allows teams to collaborate effectively and ensures that everyone has access to the information they need.

This latest update helps you find the documents you are looking for in a Prospect, Sales Project, or Account Growth project quickly and easily. You can now sort and group documents by date, size, file type, created by, and of course name, allowing you to quickly find the document you need without having to manually search through a long list of files. This new feature is particularly useful for larger projects with a long history of related documents and files, meaning you spend less time searching and more time selling.

New to managing documents in Membrain? Here are some more power-user tips to help you work more productively:

💡 Easily attach Project documents to an email. Add already uploaded documents to an email inside the Project without having to upload them again. This saves you time and ensures only the most up-to-date files are being used.

💡 Create Categories for better organization. Categorize your documents into headings that make sense for your business. Onsite photos, Proposals & Agreements, Plans, Reports... whatever gives you more structure to quickly find the documents you need.

💡 System-wide Document management. Use Lists to get the full picture of all the documentation stored across your Membrain account and manage it from one single location. Additional Filtering, Sorting, and Grouping here also allows you to maintain and stay on top of all the documents available to you and your team.

What do you think of this newest update? Drop us a line at support@membrain.com and let us know if it helps you be more productive, we'd love to hear!

Use Personalized Email Templates with Project Events

Update on March 5, 2023 by Brenda McDonald

As the world becomes increasingly fast-paced, communication is key. Keeping everyone informed and up-to-date is essential for the success of your sales efforts.

At Membrain, we've had the ability to send information to both internal and external stakeholders automatically, at certain project milestones for a while now. But this latest update makes it possible to use personalized email templates in these automated events, include specific information for each recipient, and customize those emails to your liking to make this communication more relevant and visually professional.

There are so many ways this can be used to keep everyone in the loop. Here are just some ideas for how you can use this today:

✔️ When the "Verbal go-ahead" step is completed in a Sales Project - Send your "Procurement Details required" Email Template to the customer's Accounts Payable Stakeholder (and cc your Internal Accounts team) with requests for financial information to help get contracts drawn up or invoices prepared.

✔️ When a Sales Project is Won - Send your "Thank you for buying from us" Email Template to your Main Contact Stakeholder with all the agreed details about the Project Delivery. Why not include a Membrain Form to gather additional information from your customer to help get things rolling?

How can this feature benefit you and your team's workflows?

It might sound complicated, but the setup is easy and can be triggered based on various conditions in a Prospect, Sales Project, or Account Growth Project.

So, what emails do you send to your external or internal contacts throughout the course of a project?  What could you automate with this new feature?

We're happy to help if you want to brainstorm on the best ways to use this new feature, just reach out to us at support@membrain.com and we'll get you started!

Coach Faster - Rules Can Now Trigger in Minutes or Hours, not Days

Update on March 5, 2023 by Brenda McDonald

In today's competitive business environment, time is of the essence. One missed deadline or skipped step could mean losing out on a potential sale. That's why we're excited to announce our latest update to process rules and alerts that makes it easier than ever to keep track of time-critical steps and coach your team effectively.

By triggering alerts on hours and minutes, you can coach your team in real-time and make sure that everyone is working towards the same goals.

Previously, rules could only trigger alerts on a day level, making it difficult to ensure that your team was reaching critical milestones on time. With our new update, process-level and process-step rules can now be set up to trigger on hours and minutes as well, giving you greater control over your team's progress and providing immediate feedback and guidance when it's needed.

We're excited to see how this update will help you achieve even greater success in the prospecting stage and beyond. If you're not already using our process or step-level rules, we encourage you to give them a try!

Reach out to us at support@membrain.com and we'll be happy to walk you through it.

Control Your Unique Workflows With Customizable Outcomes for Sales Projects

Update on January 22, 2023 by Brenda McDonald

We understand that every business is complex and unique in its own way. We also understand that business leaders need a tool that supports that uniqueness, with customizable options that reflect how each part of the business flows.

That's why we've introduced Customizable Outcomes for Sales Projects. Not all sales projects end when the contract is signed, or when the Win Button is clicked. That's often just the start of the journey.

So what happens next? A Service Delivery project kicks off? An Account Plan needs to be created for a new customer?  Perhaps a Prospect can be pursued off the back of new relationships being built. With each successful opportunity, more possibilities for business open up, and these should be tracked and managed with a solid process for the team to follow.

Our latest update allows for Customizable outcomes for Sales Projects, meaning you can choose what happens by default, after you win a Sales Project. This new tool can automatically create a new Prospect, Sales Project or Account Growth Project in whichever Process you decide suits best.

Here are some ways you can use this new tool today:

Use the new contacts you've identified to break into other departments or territories.
Create a new prospect with a simple cadence of touchpoints to keep the conversation alive.

Follow up with an expansion project or project delivery workflow.
Create a new Sales Project and move into the next phase of business, without missing a beat

Kick off a new business account plan. Create a new Account Growth Project and turn the focus to growing new clients and unlocking their potential.

Do you have any other ideas on how you might use this new feature?  Let us know! Or drop us a line if you would like to brainstorm ideas, we'd love to hear from you!
