More engagement insights with The Beacon

Update on June 19, 2020 by Brenda McDonald

Understanding how your contacts engage with you is central in building strong relationships and increasing your chances for success. And analyzing that engagement has now become much smarter with Membrains newest feature - The Beacon.

The Beacon could be described as a feature which offers two distinct benefits- Engagement Tracking and Automatic Lead Generation.  Lets take a closer look at these, and how they can help you make the most of your contacts and how they engage with you.

Engagement Tracking

  • Get insights about how your customers engage with you on a Company or Contact level. Details such as how many times an individual, or a company as a whole, has visited your website, a particular page on your website, and when the last visit was.
  • See how stakeholders of a Sales Project or Prospect engage with you right from the Sales Project or Prospect Activity Stream.  For example, when they have visited your Membrain Meet page, read Sales Collateral from The Content Hub or visited a page on your website.
  • Then create powerful graphs in The Dashboard to see this engagement from various angles to really understand what interests your customers and potential customers.

Automatic Lead Generation

  • Create Prospects instantly in your Membrain Prospecting Campaigns when a visitor to your website completes a web-form
  • Automatically assign new leads to the right people and keep up momentum, while the contact is showing most interest.

This weeks roundup includes:

Reordering Products - Using this feature you can rearrange the products database in the order that makes sense for you (instead of just the order in which you added them)

Favorite Views - One of the key features in Membrain is the ability to create your own view that organizes your list or view in the way you would like to see the information laid out. Now, you can set up your “Favorites” among these views.

Enrichment Interface Improvement - Whenever you add a new company or contact to Membrain you can Enrich the information surrounding the contact or company. You can add social media or other relevant info to the field with one click of the enrichment button. Previously once you opted to enrich you could not cancel and now you can! You can decide you not longer want to enrich a contact or that the contact or company information offered is not correct.

Upload and delete documents in Membrain GO - Documents can be uploaded and deleted from Membrain Go.

Please note, you can click the link within the listed feature to get to our help center for more information.

Announcing Account Growth - Everything Your Growth Team Wants

Update on June 2, 2020 by Katie Mathews

Account Growth is Membrain’s newest module and all the functionality that you have been waiting for. It boasts several new key features that will get your account managers in a unique position to plan the success across all their accounts.

Lets take a look at some of the highlights:

The Account Grid- Simply put, this is all your accounts and their purchasing potential at a glance.  This can be a range, from those who have purchased previously, but are not on track to grow more in the near future, or accounts that have purchased and have planned growth.

Account Dashboards- You might be familiar with Dashboards in Membrain. Dashboards allow you to create really dynamic cool graphs with key information.  You can now add specific Dashboards to an Account  Growth page. The Dashboard can show custom information based on scorecards, and products or services the customer might be using.

Customize Account Tracking- Each accounts selling environment can be different and unique to the client.  You decide the data related to growth for each account that will map how you sell. Whether you are using a checklist, graph or org chart to determine a plan you can view everything you feel adds value on the account page.

Collaboration- Because of the robust amount of information that can be included on each account it is easy to collaborate with other departments and view how everyone is working toward growth together. For example, by observing the grid you might glean information on how customer success or marketing are adding value and contributing to growth by delivering on important items for the account.

Overall, we are really excited about this opportunity to help our customers collaborate within their organizations to grow their accounts.  While we are thrilled to launch Account Growth publicly this fall, we are offering an early opportunity to test this new module to a few clients. Update Products While On The Go!

Update on April 24, 2020 by Katie Mathews

If you have the “Products” feature turned on in your Sales Process you can now make updates while on the go.

One of the many benefits of products is that you can track any service or product that you happen to be selling within a Sales Project. You can also view the revenue from these different categories over time, add details, price and quantity all while on the move!

Now that these updates can be made on Membrain GO you won’t have to wait until you return to the office or worry about potentially losing an order while you are out meeting with your clients. This is so important because it cuts down on duplicative work and ensures your order updates are made in real time.

Custom Fields Now Have Permissions!

Update on April 20, 2020 by Katie Mathews

You might be familiar with Membrain’s ability to create Custom Fields. This feature allows you to create fields based on select information you would like to capture.

Now we have enriched Custom Fields by adding the option to assign permissions within a custom field.

Much like the options when creating and saving a view in Membrain, you can now select who you would like to access these custom fields. You can choose whether you would like everyone to access the custom field,  just a specific team, or you could choose to only include your API users (from tools that are integrated with Membrain).

Applying Probability - a new approach

Update on April 15, 2020 by Brenda McDonald

Adding probability to your Sales Process is a fundamental part of effective pipeline management and reliable forecasting.

We're excited to announce some powerful new ways to calculate and apply probability to Sales Projects, helping sales people prioritize opportunities and give Management greater clarity into sales operations and weighted pipeline values.

Previously, probability was applied to sales projects either subjectively - i.e. from gut feeling or estimates by the project owner, or applied automatically as milestone steps were completed while working through the process.

With this new update, its now possible to take values from Custom Fields throughout Membrain, and use them to calculate the probability of winning an opportunity.

Blog sales project values by prob

Here are some ways you can use this new feature - available now with
Membrains Dynamic Process tools Module

Scorecards - take results from any Scorecard throughout Membrain and convert them to a probability %. For example, an Opportunity Scorecard in the Sales Project with questions around Buyer Alignment, Project Urgency or Stakeholder buy-in etc. updated at specified milestones ensures a continuously updated and objective probability is applied.

Calculation Fields - combine values of any numeric field and use complex calculations to create probability from. A simple example here might be the probability of a project going ahead combined with the probability of your organization winning the deal, giving you a newly calculated and more realistic probability to measure and forecast on.

Numeric Fields - Perhaps probability is generated through another workflow outside of Membrain, which can be manually entered as a number to represent % probability.

We hope you enjoy this new flexibility around probability for sales projects! Read more about Setting Probability for your Sales Process. And if you would like some best practice advice on setting it up to suit your workflow, drop us a line at support@membrain.com and we'll be happy to help.

Let’s Talk About Checklists...

Update on April 8, 2020 by Katie Mathews

We now have checklists as tools in our sales processes in Membrain.

So, what are the benefits of a process checklist in Membrain?

The Process Checklist allows you to itemize actions you need to take from within a step in your sales process.

checklist

This is extremely helpful for sales people. As they walk through the steps in their sales process they can see the actions they need to tick off. This allows them to track what they have completed and what they have not, within a specific step. It is a practical approach to ensuring the step is completed successfully.

For more information on "Process Checklists" please visit our help center.
