Performance Levels and Score Weighting

In Membrain Elevate, administrators and coaches have the ability to tailor settings to enhance team performance in alignment with organizational goals. This article provides a step-by-step guide on customizing performance levels and performance score weightings within the platform.

Accessing Settings

To begin customizing, access the Membrain Elevate settings by clicking on the cogwheel icon located in the top right corner of your screen.

Customizing Performance Levels

Within the Membrain Elevate settings, you can adjust the performance levels that define varying degrees of team member performance. This feature is crucial for setting clear and measurable standards.

Performance levels are categorized into stages such as:

  • Unacceptable: Performance significantly below expectations.
  • Needs Improvement: Performance that does not meet expectations but shows potential.
  • Moderate: Acceptable performance, meeting minimum expectations.
  • Performing: Exceeds the standard expectations.

Each category is associated with a default percentage that indicates the performance threshold. For example, achieving ninety percent of targets may categorize a team member as "Performing." These thresholds are adjustable; for instance, you can modify the setting so that achieving thirty percent of targets is considered "Moderate," or adjust the "Performing" threshold to a different percentage based on organizational needs.

Adjusting Performance Score Weighting

Performance scores in Membrain Elevate are calculated based on averages from three categories:

  • Activities
  • Effectiveness
  • Outcomes

Each category typically contributes equally to the overall performance score. However, you can customize the weight of each category to reflect your business priorities. This is done by adjusting the triangular sliders in the settings panel.

Adjusting the slider to the right increases the weight of that category, making it more significant in the final score calculation, and vice versa. For example, if outcomes are more critical to your business model, you might choose to give this category a higher weighting compared to activities or effectiveness.

Continuous Review and Adjustment

It's important to regularly review and adjust these settings to ensure they continue to be relevant and effective. This process helps maintain a fair and realistic assessment of team performance and fosters a culture of continuous improvement and recognition.

Always maintain open communication with your team regarding these settings. Ensuring that the performance goals are perceived as fair and achievable is crucial for team motivation and engagement.

By customizing performance levels and score weightings, you empower your team to meet and exceed set standards, aligning their efforts closely with your organizational objectives. Remember, the primary goal of these adjustments in Membrain Elevate is not just to assess but also to motivate and recognize the continuous improvement of your team members.
