System-Generated Key

Membrain's system-generated ID for projects is called "Key". A key is generated automatically when a new Prospect, Sales Project, or Account Growth Project is created in Membrain.

Having a unique key available makes it easier to integrate with other systems and even use it as a reference when communicating with internal or external stakeholders that do not have access to Membrain. 

Where can I find the Key?

You can find the Key in different places within Membrain whether you are in Prospects, Sales Projects, or Account Growth Projects.

• You can add the "Key" field as a column within a list view
  
  
• The "Key" can be found above the name of a Prospect, Sales Project, Account Growth, or ticket.
  
  
• You can search for a specific Key in Membrain in the Global Search
  
• The Key is available when exporting your data
  
• The Key can be added among Prospects', Sales Projects' and/or Account Growth Projects' Preview Fields. Go to System Setup - Process Editor - Settings - Preview Fields and add the "Key" to the list. Click here for more information.
