The Engagement Matrix is a powerful feature designed to streamline and enhance your understanding of how your team interacts with stakeholders and activities on a project in general. It displays the actions taken, who is participating, and when these actions occurred. It also highlights how much interaction there is with stakeholders. This comprehensive view aids in gaining deeper insights, allowing for informed decision-making regarding project progression and stakeholder interaction strategies.
The Engagement Matrix can easily be found directly underneath the process by clicking on the Activity & Engagement Timeline bar, or can be quickly accessed by pressing "e" on the keyboard.
Starting from left to right, the first component you will find is the Stakeholders. It lists of all stakeholders that have had any kind of activity related to the project currently under review.
Next up is the Timeline, which shows different activities that have been carried out as well as the points in time when various stages of the project were reached. It covers a wide range of activities, including notes, tasks, emails, phone calls, and appointments. It also provides you with the start date and the close/archive date of the project.
Adjacent to the timeline is Time Spent, which displays the total amount of time your team has dedicated to activities in relation to the project.
The Number of Activities section indicates the total count of activities carried out in relation to the project.
Next is Activity With which showcases the Membrain users who were involved in the activities with the stakeholders.
Finally, Activity shows when the last activity was carried out with a specific stakeholder.
On the timeline, various activities will be represented visually. By hovering over the dots, you're able to view these in different categories and colors and when clicking on the dots you will have access to a detailed drilldown dialog for deeper engagement analysis.
The timeline visually represents various activities, with dots, lines, categories and colors. By hovering over and clicking on the dots, you can access a detailed drilldown dialog for a more in-depth analysis of activity and engagement.
The height of the line curves provides additional insight into your team's activity. The more external participants there are in activities and the more activities/engagement is happening in a closer time span, the higher the line curve. For instance, if you carry out one activity on one day, you will see a lower line curve. However, if your team logs 5 notes/calls in a day, and/or if you host a meeting with many external participants, the corresponding line curve will be significantly higher.
Here's an example that show a good interaction from both sides, your team and the prospect/customer. The blue and pink lines are pretty much identical, mirroring themselves.
Here's an example that shows a dropped activity/engagement from both our team and the prospect/customer under a significant amount of time.
