Importing Quotes & Orders with Product information into Membrain allows you to bring your external Quote and/or Order data into Membrain, ensuring your total pipeline, reporting, and forecasting stay accurate and up to date.
There are many different reasons why you might need to import this type of data to Membrain, for example:
Both Quotes and Orders are Document types and before you can import either of them, you need to prepare your environment to recieve them by creating Document Categories for them. We recommend reading these articles that gives more context on how Quotes, Orders and Products work in Membrain.
From System Setup, navigate to the Data Management section and select Import Quotes or Import Orders
Click on Upload a File to Import and select the Excel file you want to import
Select your Import Options: Choose to Create a new entry, or update an existing entry
Review the default criteria for the deduplication of Companies, Orders/Quotes and Orders/Quotes Rows (Products) and edit if needed
Click Next
Map the fields by aligning them to their correct names. You will see errors and will be able to work through them in your spreadsheet until you are fully confident that your data is solid and ready to be imported.
Click Import, and you're done!
